Paving the way for interoperability in the DoD with Motion Imagery Systems

Springfield, Virginia – October 28, 2010 -- Cornet Technology, Inc., (CTI) a leading provider of voice, video, and data communications products, announced today the certification of compliance for Motion Imagery Standards Profile (MISP) by the Joint Interoperability Test Command. (JITC).

The MISP version, 5.1 was awarded to CTI’s iVDO Multi E +. The iVDO Multi E + supports MISM Levels 3M, 3H, 4M, 4H and 9H.

The iVDO Multi E+ simultaneously encodes four channels of video and stereo audio. The unit accepts NTSC or PAL Analog video and/or HD-SDI uncompressed High Definition Digital video. The analog video is encoded using H.264 (MPEG 4 Part 10) or MPEG2 and HD-SDI is compressed with H.264 HD AVC Algorithms as elementary streams. These streams are multiplexed into STANAG 4609 compliant MPEG2 transport stream with KLV metadata, synchronously or asynchronously. The iVDO Multi E+ has undergone extensive MIL-STD-810F (environmental), MIL-STD-461E (EMI, RFI and EMC), MIL-STD-704A (aircraft electric power) military compliance testing and is certified for airborne applications.

The unit has a built-in GPS receiver. It converts Metadata into KLV Metadata format per all applicable MISB standards. The unit has a built-in G-Bit Ethernet switch and supports all applicable Ethernet protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, Unicast, multicast, etc. A friendly GUI allows easy configuration.
