Appointment to accelerate company's entry into the Utility Market

Springfield, Va.-- March 18, 2008 -- Cornet Technology, Inc., a global leader in video, voice, and data communications solutions, today announced that it has brought in Ramesh (“Rudy”) Shankar to spearhead business development into the utility market for its Video Convergence division. Reporting to Video Convergence president Sunil Mehta, Dr. Shankar will focus his utility expertise into identifying and developing utility business for the company's smart video surveillance products and solutions.

“Dr. Shankar's 30 years of experience in developing markets and running projects as well as his expertise in delivering practical technology solutions make him an ideal choice to head the company's business development for the utility market,” said Sunil Mehta. “His understanding of the utility industry as well as his wide network of industry contacts will be an asset in generating new clients and meeting the division's revenue objectives.”

Dr. Shankar is the founder of Signatech Systems which is dedicated to the global power industry and its supply chain. His work experience includes the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) where he held various marketing and technical positions within its power generation and power delivery sectors; and with Fortune 50 companies such as Honeywell and AMF.
