Cornet Technology’s Video Convergence Awarded Statewide Contract from the State of Illinois to Provide Video Products for ITS: June 30, 2005
Springfield, Va. – June 30, 2005 -- Video Convergence, the video surveillance products and integration services division of Cornet Technology, Inc. (CTI), announced the state of Illinois has awarded the company a one-year, statewide contract. This contract will give multiple districts throughout the state a vehicle for purchasing CDX-350 encoders, decoders and CODECs for intelligent transportation systems (ITS) as needed.
The space efficient CDX-350 supports MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 encoding and decoding and offers a low 200-millisecond end-to-end latency. The CDX-350 also features a wide range of resolution and frames per second (FPS) choices, exceptional picture quality, ease of control, and multiple serial port functionality and networking options. The CDX-350 allows both video and multiple data paths to share a network path and eliminates the expense of additional links for control channels.
