Cornet Technology, Inc. Introduces its Tactical Voice Conferencing Solution (TVCS) at Milcom 2008
Targeted at the Military the TVCS lets multiple operators select, control, and communicate over multiple classified and unclassified communication devices.
San Diego, CA – November 17, 2008 -- Cornet Technology, Inc., a leading provider of data, voice, and video technology products, today announced that it is introducing its Tactical Voice Conferencing System (TVCS) at Milcom 2008 at the San Diego Convention Center, November 17-19, 2008. The TVCS gives the military a standards-based operator interface for secure voice and radio communications that supports new and legacy equipment. With this system, an operator can simultaneously monitor up to 20 summed audio, classified and unclassified radios, phones, and intercom connections in a single headset or handset.
The TVCS offers some noteworthy features over other Voice Conferencing Systems. Top of the list is excellent audio. Additionally, the TVCS significantly increases the distance for control of Secure Terminal Equipment, Remote (STE-R) and automates communication patching for primary and secondary radios and COMSEC (Communications Security) devices thus reducing the number of cryptos required. The use of standardized Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) technology allows the TVCS to fit into any standing military application.
The TVCS Operator Interface uses a state-of-the-art Graphical User Interface (GUI) that is geared to the Xbox generation, its primary users. This means that active duty personnel with operator experience don’t need training. Tests show that they quickly pick up the simplified radio communications, phone use, and the making of point-to-point intercom calls, net/group calls, and adhoc conference calls. Those without experience are able to perform the same tasks with as little as 20 minutes of training.
The TVCS system has been evaluated by both Information Assurance (IA) and Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) approval is pending. It is in the process of being Tempest tested.
The first customer will be installed and operational in January 2009.
