Port Concentrator Units

CTC's port concentrator units do more than cable management. These flexible units can be utilized to perform link extension allowing WAN lines to be extended from one end of a campus to another. The SuperPCU offers redundant power supplies as well as optional dual controller cards with independent fiber connections. This allows each path to be run differently providing an extra level of protection.

MACX

CTC's MACX performs multiplexing and Digital Cross Connect Systems (DACS) switching as well as provides enhanced channel bank capabilities. This innovative device converts any type of WAN interface to a DSO/DS1 channel, incorporates the channel into a standard T1 frame and sends it to the T1 network. The MACX combines data from multiple (up to 64) separate inputs into one or more T1/E1 outposts and handles data rates from 56/64 Kbps to a full T1 in N by 56 or 64 K increments. Data returning on the same T1/E1 channel is routed back to the proper user I/O automatically. The MACX chassis supports up to 16 T1/E1 output ports and features dual-redundant power supplies.

PATCH PANEL. SB4124C/WSC (NSN 5815-01-171-4468)

The SB-4124(C)WSC is a flexible 17-channel,24-circuit per channel patching switchboard that patches both digital and analog signals. It is utilized to manually reconfigure the interconnection of a communication system consisting of data communications equipment (DCE), data terminal equipment (DTE) and transceivers, remote controllers and mobile communication systems and for the easy and efficient rerouting and testing of digital signals.
The switchboard consists of a chassis with a rear mounting plane that holds 34 DB-25 connectors and patch modules. The mounting plane is engineered to allow the DB-25 connectors to automatically mate with the patch modules when the module is inserted into the chassis to speed manual connections.
