System design is not an off-the-shelf one-size fits all exercise. Video Convergence works closely with its clients to ensure that our system design meets your needs and budget. Each design consists of a trade-off analysis and involves selecting best-of-breed equipment for video surveillance and ITS systems and marrying selected equipment with an "intelligent communications architecture." This standards-based modular architecture takes into consideration all available LAN/WAN/IP networking options such as Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, ATM, SONET, ISDN, xDSL, Wireless, VSAT, and Dialup POTS. Additionally, this architecture is able to integrate legacy systems with emerging ITS applications.
Since many projects entail blending existing technology with new, Video Convergence has the skills necessary to deploy analog-digital hybrid network systems as well as providing analog to digital migration paths.
Product Selection, Test bed for Proof-of-Concept
An integral part of any system design is product selection and proof-of-concept. Before Video Convergence selects any product for inclusion in its design, the product must meet our rigorous selection criteria: performance, rating, history of model testing, and third party referrals. To ensure the feasibility of our design, we create a test bed where the following tasks are performed:
-
Design and development of system architecture, and software
-
Localized field / factory trial
-
Analysis of the acquired data
-
Technology assessment
-
An economic analysis of the application
-
Operational efficiency
